Campton Hills Offers Residents Signs For Trick-Or-Treating ‘Go’ or ‘No’

While many communities are urging residents to uses outdoor lights as signals to weather they are handing out treats for Halloween this year, the village of Campton Hills is going one step further — offering “go” or “no go” signs that residents can place in their yards.

The village of Campton Hills trick-or-treat hours this year are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

At this time, the village of Campton Hills Police Department is noting the choice to participate in trick-or-treating is up to each resident and family.

If you and your family choose to participate in Halloween activates, the village is encouraging residents to follow recommendations and guidelines noted by the CDC.

The village staff has also constructed signage for your home, to help others differentiate who is and who is not participating in handing out candy and other Halloween activities this year.

:We have made greens signs to indicate, ‘Yes, I am participating, and welcoming Trick-Or-Treaters,’ and red signs to indicate, ‘Sorry, not this year, see you next year,’ ” village officials said in a news release.
