
Register Your Little Ones For Forest Preserve District’s ‘Little Saplings’
Registration is now open for the September session of “Little Saplings,” a fun nature program series for children ages 3 to 5, presented by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.
Little Saplings hour-long programs include a combination of stories, nature hikes, songs, games and crafts. The program takes place at Creek Bend Nature Center in St. Charles. A parent or caregiver must accompany the child.
Upcoming dates for “Little Saplings” include:
- 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 — “Insect Safari”
- 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 — “Spider Mania”
- 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 — “Turkey Trot”
The fee is $5 per child, per session, and advance registration is required. To register, call 630-444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com.
Creek Bend Nature Center is located within LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve at 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.
