Kane Veterans Who Own or Hope To Own Business Can Get Free Assistance Sept. 24

The Kane County Development And Community Services Department and the Kane County Veterans Assistance Commission are encouraging veterans who own or hope to own businesses to attend the third free webinar sponsored by the state’s Veterans Business Program.

The third installment of the Veteran Series from the Office of Business Development takes place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.

Organizers will discuss the Advantage Illinois/FAME (The Fund for the Advancement of Minority Enterprises) Program, in which the state participates with approved lenders to provide financing to various small businesses.

Advantage Illinois/FAME fills in gaps that prevent businesses from obtaining financing, such as equity and collateral shortfalls, or for new and rapid growing businesses. Eligible loans can be used for equipment, real estate, working capital, inventory, and leasehold improvements while leveraging lower interest rates.
