The Mill Creek bridge, located on the linear trail at the corner of Fabyan Parkway and Peck Road in Geneva, will be closed for repairs from Sept. 21 to Sept. 25.
According to a Forest Preserve District of Kane County news release, the district will be replacing the bridge decking. There will be no public access through this stretch of trail, during this time.
Repairs will begin Monday, Sept. 21, and are expected to be completed on Friday, Sept. 25, pending weather conditions.
Signs will be placed on the trail to notify the public of the total trail closure.
Forest Preserve District of Kane County officials ask trail users to exercise caution and be mindful of the closure during this time.
