Aurora COVID-19 Testing Site Moves Sept. 30 From Outlet Mall To 2450 N. Farnsworth

The Kane County Health Department was informed today (Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020) that the free drive-through COVID-19 testing site at the Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora is relocating on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to 2450 N. Farnsworth Ave. in Aurora, less than half a mile from the Chicago Premium Outlets.

The drive-through and walk-up testing site is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Testing is free and available to all regardless of age, COVID-19 symptoms, or insurance status.

A parent or guardian must be present and able to provide consent for individuals under the age of 18.

The new Aurora testing site will continue to serve the outer suburbs of Chicago, the third-most active site in the Northeast region, providing an average of 450 free tests daily to the surrounding communities.

Ten community-based testing sites are open daily throughout Illinois, providing an average of 25,000 free tests throughout the state. CBTS are located in Chicago, Harwood Heights, Arlington Heights, Aurora, Waukegan, South Holland, Rockford, Champaign, Peoria, and East St. Louis.

Pop-up mobile testing sites operate throughout the state, with the goal of reducing immediate outbreaks, focusing on underserved and marginalized communities. Times and locations of mobile sites vary and change to meet the needs of communities with emerging outbreaks.
