St. Charles Police Seek Help To Identify Man Who Robbed Main Street 7-11

The St. Charles Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man with red dye on his hands who robbed a Main Street 7-11 Sunday night.

According to a St. Charles Police Department news release, officers responded at around 9:21 p.m. Sunday to the 7-11 store located at 2400 E. Main St. for the report of an armed robbery.

The employee reported that a man entered the business and displayed a knife as he approached the counter. The offender was described as about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and red face covering.

The offender also had what appeared to be red dye on his hands.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police said the offender left the store with an undisclosed amount of proceeds, then possibly left in a vehicle. A review of the store’s security camera system showed that the offender was wearing a unique hooded sweatshirt.
