Aurora Police Seek Public’s Help in May 12 Fatal Shooting Investigation

The Aurora Police Department is seeking the public’s help in an investigation of a shooting that left a man dead on the city’s west side Tuesday afternoon.

According to an APD news release, officers were dispatched just before 5:15 p.m. to reports of a person shot in front of an apartment complex in the 700 block of Huntington Drive. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Aurora Fire Department paramedics transported the man to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Paris Brandon of the 700 block of Huntington Drive.

Detectives from the Aurora Police Department’s Bureau of Investigations responded to the scene and began investigating the specific circumstances of the incident and are still actively investigating.
