11:30 PM UPDATE — FINAL

It was a good night for mental health funding and a mixed bag for other referendums on Kane County ballots Tuesday.

The Gail Borden Library got the OK raise its Cook County tax extension, winning approval 10,364 to 6,049 in unofficial results. The library received a majority of “yes” votes from both Kane and Cook County voters.

Voters turned down a Pingree Grove Fire Protection District proposition to issue $8.5 million general obligation bonds but said “yes” to electing rather than appointing trustees

Batavia Park District’s proposition to issue $27.1 million in park bonds fell by a substantial margin.

Dundee Township’s tax levy for community mental health appears to be a winner. With 35 of 35 precincts reporting, the referendum has garnered 4,568 “yes” votes and 2,432 “no” votes.

Town and Country Library District turned down a new tax rate to provide Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund support.
