Early voting for the March 17, 2020, primary begins Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Kane County Clerk’s Office in Geneva and the Aurora Satellite Office.
The offices are open for early voting from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Clerk’s Office in Geneva is located in Building B of the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave. The Aurora Office is located at 5 E. Downer Place, Suite F.
The number of places where folks in Kane County can vote early starts expanding 15 days prior to Election Day. A full list of locations and early-voting times are presented in the “Kane County Early Voting Sites” chart below and can be accessed by clicking this link to the PDF on the Kane County Clerk’s Office election website.
Early voting allows voters to cast a full ballot before the observed election day.
“Although voters can still go to their polling place on Election Day, this is intended to make voting easier for everyone,” the Kane County Clerks Office says on its website page. “This cuts down on lines at the polling place as well as allowing voters to vote when it fits their schedule.”
The period for early voting by personal appearance extends through the end of the day before election day.
Early voting is NOT conducted at your usual polling place. Polling places will only be open for voting on the observed Election Day.
The ballot is the same whether vote by mail, early, or at the polling place on election day.
