CASA Kane County is hiring for two newly created positions within its growing organization: event and development coordinator and manager of education in Geneva, effective immediately.
The CASA Kane County event and development coordinator is responsible for coordinating with the advancement team all special event fundraising for the annual auction, golf outing, third party events, and other events for the organization.
The person in this position is also responsible for managing reports from the Donor Perfect fundraising software. In addition, he or she manages the WebLink online registration and donation forms and the coordination and research of potential donors in conjunction with the executive director and director of advancement.
The event and development coordinator reports to the executive director.
The manager of education reports to the director of training and education.
The person in this position is responsible for assisting with the following duties: the training of CASA/GAL volunteers; the management of CASA Kane County’s Continuing Education Program; and the recruitment and development of speakers and volunteers as well as professional resources for advocates and staff members.
Additionally, the manager of education will monitor and evaluate compliance with the CASA Kane County Advocate Education Plan, state and federal law and with the rules and regulations of the Illinois state CASA and national CASA organizations.
For more than 30 years, CASA Kane County has been recruiting, training and supervising community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates and the Guardian ad Litem for children in court due to abuse, neglect or private guardianship.
The CASA volunteer acts as the eyes and ears of the judge to help make the best decision for a safe, caring and permanent home for each child.
The organization serves 100% of all abuse/neglect and private guardianship cases in the 16th Judicial Circuit of Kane County and has been doing this since 2002. CASA Kane County’s 20 staff and 225 active CASA/GAL volunteers advocate for more than 500 children annually.
