The Elgin History Museum has a slew of important and fun events coming up this fall.

The Life of Max McGraw

Oct. 10 we welcome Clark Ganshirt to the Museum to talk about the life of Max McGraw. He will also tell more about the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation and its programs. Click this link to register for this event.

‘Woman Lore’: Meet Jane Addams

On Oct. 13, meet Jane Addams: activist, progressive social reformer, and co-founder of Chicago’s Hull House portrayed by Betsey Means of “WomanLore.”

State of The Museum

The Elgin Area Historical Society annual meeting will take place at this 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, program with elections and a report on the State of the Museum.

Nov. 2 is the Museum’s Annual Benefit and Silent Auction! The event will be held at the Grand Victoria Riverboat in Elgin again this year. Ellie Carlson of “ElliePresents” will introduce us to “The Famous & Original Bar Room Smasher: Carry A Nation.”
