The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today (Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019) that the resurfacing of Lake Street (IL Route 31) from Webster Street in Montgomery to Rathbone Avenue in Aurora will require daily lane closures starting Monday, Sept. 16.
The work is expected to be complete by the end of November.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
