Interested in getting to know more about the Fox River?
These trainings create a community of schools, teachers, and citizens with the confidence and responsibility to help monitor our watershed and make sure streams are healthy. Join other teachers and citizens to gain the skills necessary to monitor the Fox River tributaries through chemical, physical, and biological assessments.
There are two options for trainings, both meeting at the shelter in Towne Park of Algonquin to work in Crystal Creek:
- 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9
- 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10
If interested, please RSVP to Gary Swick at: email@example.com or (815)-370-0026.
The Friends of the Fox River will be providing all necessary equipment. Dress for the forecast, and if you have your own boots you are welcome to bring them.
After the Friday evening session, those interested will be going upstream to check out the creek habitat at Scorched Earth Brewery.
