The Zonta Club of St. Charles-Geneva-Batavia is offering four scholarships to local young women.
The Fran Johnson Second Chance scholarship supports the educational pursuits of women entering or returning to the work force; recipients must be 25 years or older seeking to advance their education on a part time or full time basis and must be committed to obtaining at least a 2 year occupational or vocational associates’ degree. Recipients must reside in Elgin, South Elgin, West Dundee, East Dundee, Carpentersville, Hampshire or Huntley (Kane County, IL).
The Cindy Perkinson scholarship allows local women from the Fox Valley area the opportunity to complete one year of higher education at the college of their choice, in line with Cindy’s passions for business, languages, and music.
The Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship assists young women who are pursuing careers in government, public policy and community organizations. One local representative will be selected to compete for this scholarship at the District level (monetary award only on the District Level).
The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business scholarship assists young women pursuing careers in business. and understood the importance of helping women become business leaders. With this in mind, she left a generous bequest to the Zonta International Foundation, from which the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship Program was established. One local representative will be selected to compete for this scholarship at the District level (monetary award only on the District Level).
