The interesting question might be: What will Ozzie’s costume look like?

The Kane County Cougars are hosting a Halloween event this year, a first-of-its-kind get together called Halloween WitchCRAFT Beer Fest.

The event takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 pm. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark in Geneva. Tickets are on sale now for the event through, calling (630) 232-8811 or ordering in person at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Individual ticket prices are $45 in advance and $55 on the day of the event. Tickets will also be available for purchase during all games over the Labor Day weekend homestand which begins on Saturday and continues through Monday.

Attendees, who are strongly encouraged to dress in costume for the Halloween event, will be able to enjoy some of the most popular craft beers. A sample of brewers that have already been confirmed include Two Brothers, Leinenkugel, 51st Ward, Revolution, Pollyanna, Founders, Goose Island, Vander Mill and Virtue Cider. Additional brewers will be announced as they are confirmed.

Individuals can “like” the event-specific Facebook page, which will provide continuous updates including contests, a list of brewers, photos, video and general event information.

In addition to great craft beers, attendees will enjoy a Halloween-themed party at the ballpark with costume contests, a live DJ playing Halloween music, scary movies displayed on the Cougars’ new videoboard and more. Specialty food items will be available for purchase as well.

The Cougars have partnered with Lou Dog Events, a Naperville-based production and management company that specializes in craft beer festivals including the popular Naperville Winter Ale Fest, Lombard Ale Fest and Lisle Ale Fest, among many others.

“We’re extremely excited to partner with Lou Dog Events for our inaugural Halloween WitchCRAFT Beer Fest,” Cougars Vice President/General Manager Curtis Haug said. “This will be a very popular festival for craft beer fans and with the event taking place on Halloween, attendees will enjoy numerous activities throughout the evening that fit the Halloween theme. We encourage fans to get their tickets early and make their Halloween party plans today.”
