The test question for the audience-engaging poll at Friday’s leaders summit at the Q Center was which baseball team was the favorite among the 180 Kane County leaders in attendance. (The Cubs won, by the way.) That’s kind of appropriate, because the first-ever summit was a home run with the audience as well as the high-powered speakers who headlined the event.
Part of the problem with writing a summary of the Friday summit is TMI — too much information. And too much important information to digest and share in a timely manner.
IDOT Acting Secretary Randy Blankenhorn, state DCEO Director Jim Schultz and keynote speaker Christopher Coes of LOCUS offered enough solid information for a week’s worth of Kane County Connects articles.
So, for now, I’m going to take the quick-and-easy shortcut of providing a photo story of the event. We’ll follow up with more next week.
