The Kane County Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) program is proud to announce its collaboration with the Veterans Affairs (VA) and Hines VA Hospital to support a veterans-only food pantry. This initiative aims to provide crucial assistance to veterans in need within our community, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and support among those who have served our nation.

The Veterans Treatment Court, known for its dedication to supporting veterans through legal and community-based services, has expanded its efforts to address the holistic needs of veterans beyond the courtroom. By partnering with Hines VA, the VTC program seeks to alleviate food insecurity among veterans, a pressing issue faced by many who have transitioned to civilian life.

Located at Hines VA Hospital, the veterans-only food pantry offers a safe and supportive environment where veterans can access nutritious food and essential supplies. Volunteers from the Veterans Treatment Court program are actively involved in stocking shelves, organizing donations, and providing assistance to veterans who visit the pantry.    VTCFOOD2.jpg
