Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week - Andy
“Properly trained, a man can be a dog's best friend." – Corey Ford, American humorist, writer, screenwriter
His name is Andy and he is a 3-month-old Australian Cattle Dog and Jack (Parson) Russell Terrier-mix.
He was found along with his three brothers. So, the question of the day might be who leaves puppies all by themselves and walks away seemingly without a thought as to their future welfare?
Maybe it was written in the stars or the winds of opportunity were blowing just right, but luckily, they were brought to KCAC where they were cleaned up, vetted and readied for adoption. Four puppies! Enough for a rock band, we thought, so we pulled from the archives of rock and roll and came up with the names of the members of The Bee Gees! Robin, Maurice, Barry and Andy! (Robin and Maurice have already been adopted!)
Andy is all puppy and so handsome, very much like his namesake. He has typical puppy energy. When he meets another dog, he gets easily excited, but he will calm down once he is removed from the situation. Of course, he got along well with his littermates. It seemed as though he could play with them forever!
As with any puppy, it's important to get him into a puppy training class as soon as he's had time to settle into his new home. That way he will know what is expected of him, as well as help him bond with his new family.
I guess you could say these puppies should be rewarded for “Stayin Alive" under such difficult circumstances as they escaped exposure to “Night Fever." Hopefully, they get adopted and learn “How Deep Is Your Love" from their forever families because all they want to do is understand how “To Love Somebody."
When they find their forever homes, “You Should Be Dancing" because even though they went through “Tragedy," their families had just the right “Words" that made “Love So Right" for each of them.
