Santa and Mrs. Claus wave to the crowd during the Aurora Winter Lights festival parade at GAR Memorial Hall, 23 E. Downer Place in Aurora.

This week’s big event is Winter Lights Aurora, tipping off the merriest and cheeriest season in Kane County.

Join the fun with pop-up shops, Santa and Mrs. Claus, costumed characters, parade, tree-lighting, award presentations and fireworks! Bring a camera and dress for the weather.

Nov. 14 — Winterfest Art Market at Water Street Studios (BATAVIA)

Nov. 16 — Winter Lights Aurora! (AURORA)

Nov. 23-Dec. 31 — Holiday Lights at Mooseheart

Nov. 23-24 — Holiday Homecoming (ST. CHARLES)

Holiday Homecoming is one of the Midwest’s most spectacular holiday events and is the official kick-off to the holiday season in St. Charles.

Nov. 24 — Electric Christmas Parade (ST. CHARLES)

The annual Electric Christmas Parade takes place Saturday at 5:30 p.m. on Main Street in St. Charles.

Nov. 30 — Dickens In Dundee (EAST DUNDEE AND WEST DUNDEE)

This year’s Dickens in Dundee will take place Friday, Nov. 30, in East Dundee, with a parade to follow on Saturday, Dec. 1. Stay tuned for more details as the event approaches!
