‘The Big Unit’ Randy Johnson Headlines 2018 Cougars Event
The Kane County Cougars have announced that legendary pitcher and Hall of Famer Randy Johnson will headline the “Out to the Ballgame IV” event on Thursday, June 28, at Northwestern Medicine Field.
Johnson, along with Cougars owner Dr. Bob Froehlich, will speak to attendees in a question-and-answer format.
For $75, guests will be guaranteed a Randy Johnson bobblehead, presented by Huntington Bank, a question-and-answer program featuring Dr. Bob Froehlich and the MLB Hall of Famer, along with a buffet dinner and Super Suite ticket for the Cougars game that night.
Tickets are available for purchase by calling the Cougars front office at 630-232-8811 or by ordering online at kccougars.com. Seating is limited and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.
The event, located in the upper deck level of Northwestern Medicine Field, will begin at 4 p.m. when doors open. The speakers program kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with Froehlich and Johnson, one of the most legendary pitchers in Major League Baseball history and arguably the greatest left-handed pitcher of all time.
Guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet with hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, chicken, fruit and potato salad plus soda and water during the question and answer session. A cash bar will be available, as well.
Following the event, the Cougars will take the field to face the Quad Cities River Bandits at 6:30 p.m. After the game, fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks show, presented by Miller Lite, set to an ’80s playlist.
Fans of all ages are also invited to run the bases. Fireworks and run the bases are subject to change based on the weather conditions.
