VNA Hosts Volunteer Open House Jan. 17 in Aurora
“Our volunteer program is expanding and offers many interesting opportunities for community members looking for ways to give back,” said Johnna Mortenson, outreach and philanthropy associate.
Volunteer opportunities include working in the Healthy Lifestyle Center & Wellness Kitchen, the heart of VNA’s community wellness program. This area includes a commercial kitchen for preparing and demonstrating healthy cooking and a classroom space for wellness and fitness programs.
Volunteers are an important part of VNA’s wellness program and are needed to assist with food prep, assist with class organization, lead walking clubs and more. Other volunteer roles include patient greeters, clerical workers, storytime readers, and bilingual community outreach.
