St. Augustine College provides free GED test preparation with a strong college and career readiness component.
The program offers the state of Illinois required Constitution testing, paid practice tests, and many other support services to assist students in completing the program and earn their Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate.
Students receive free child care (for ages 3 to 12 years old) during their time in program, can earn a scholarship to pay a portion of their exam fees and also receive assistance transitioning into additional academic programs.
St. Augustine College GED classes average a 75 percent retention rate (students who complete the 10-week program) and a 50 percent passing rate (students who pass their GED exams and earn their high school equivalency), which makes St. Augustine one of the state leaders in adult education.
