Wilson, a starting outside linebacker, who was drafted by the Bears in 1980, was part of one of the most dominating defenses in football history which helped lead Chicago to their eventual Super Bowl XX victory in 1985. He played nine years in the NFL, including one year as a member of the Los Angeles Raiders, before retiring in 1989.
In 2013, Wilson was inducted into the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame. Hampton, a versatile defensive linemen, was drafted by the Bears in 1979 and spent his entire professional career in Chicago before retiring after the 1990 season. The four-time Pro Bowl selection’s defense was also key to the Bears Super Bowl XX victory. Hampton was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
’85 Bears Night also features a baseball giveaway, presented by Country Financial for the first 1,500 fans in attendance. ZOOperstars! will provide in-game entertainment with their hilarious antics followed by a post-game fireworks show, presented by Melrose Pyrotechnics.
