Fox Valley Jewish Neighbors Will Unveil Mural June 6 in Downtown Geneva
Fox Valley Jewish Neighbors will unveil a major new piece of public art located in downtown Geneva during a dedication ceremony on Monday, June 6, 2016.
The mosaic tile mural consists of six panels and was created by the FVJN as a gift to the community in honor of the organization’s 10 years in Geneva. The dedication will take place at 6 p.m. Monday at 121 S. Third Street.
Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns and representatives of FVJN, the Geneva Foundation for the Arts and others will speak.
The mural was designed by local artist Danielle Dobies based ideas expressed by FVJN families and drawings by FVJN children. FVJN families and friends assembled the mural with financial support from GFA. The mural panels illustrate common values of the Tri-Cities community and the beauty of the area.
Additional information on the project will be available at the dedication.
